We decided to do a team building activity at work. What about bowling? The batting cages and a little mini golf action? I think a baseball game or something like that would be fun...
So...
We decided on a race to the finish line. What were we thinking? I haven't ran a step in 20+ years. OK, not that long... But still people! I got a couple of sample runs in before the big race and actually was pretty proud of my final finish time of 52.43. That's about 5 miles of pure fun in 52+ minutes. I walked Observatory Hill and decided to stop another time to shed my rain coat (as it looked like rain before the race and never started until after the race). By the way, the rain felt great after 5 miles of running fun. I was beat by the youngsters from work, but put up a great fight, nonetheless. I am pretty excited to say that the run wasn't as bad as I though it would be. Running for me is pretty boring and no amount of IPod action can help with it. Running with others isn't fun either. It is hard to keep up a decent conversation when you are breathing so hard.
