Dentist Visit 101

My new lesson for you all today... Make sure you know what's in store for you BEFORE you head into the dentist's office. I went in today thinking that I was getting fitted for a new mouth guard to wear at night because I have an awful subconscious habit of grinding my chompers at night. Man oh man, was I surprised to realize that my dentist had other plans on his mind. I had three, count 'em, three old fillings replaced, he fixed up my 2 front teeth so they are pretty now, and then decided to treat me with the molds for my new guard. The worst part about the whole experience was that I got so much Novocaine on one side of my mouth that my eye and nose were also numb (felt like I had a stroke and half my face went to sleep). It was surprise, but I feel like a champ now and probably won't need that much work for awhile. I still like the dentist after this morning. I need to go back in next week to check out my new guard. I think it should be ready to go. I'll look like a boxer at night, but will have nice teeth for a long while. My birthday is coming up here soon. I hope no one has the guts to buy me a pair of boxing gloves to go with the guard. As for my 2 new front teeth, I asked for those veneers that all those stars have and the dentist about peed his pants. I guess that was a little over the top for him and hopefully made his day at 8AM.
